 Free-Roaming Area Keeper Tour Get up close and personal with bison, moose, caribou and more during a morning ride on the wild side. Hop into the back of the keeper truck and experience the thrill of having these incredible animals only an arm's-length away as the keeper makes his rounds feeding the animals!  Rainier Independent Film Festival The 5th Annual Rainier Independent Film Festival will be screening films in the Nisqually Valley near Ashford and Mineral on June 3, 4 and 5. In addition to screening animated, narrative, documentary and feature films, workshops, intimate gatherings, panels and an awards ceremony are scheduled for this compelling festival.  Photo Tours at Northwest Trek Load your cameras, grab your equipment, bring extra film, and climb on board a Northwest Trek tram for a free-roaming area photo tour. From the tram you will see moose, mountain goats, bighorn sheep and more in Trek's 435-acre free-roaming area. Varying habitats provide natural backdrops for amateur to professional photographers.  Ole' Fashion Train and BBQ At Lake Take time to enjoy a view of Mount Rainier (weather permitting) as you travel over the Nisqually river then on through the beautiful foothills of the mountain valley on a historic steam train ride. You will depart from the Elbe Depot for a 40-45 minute trip out to pristine Mineral Lake. There you will be greeted by a good Ole' Fashion BBQ with BBQ Ribs, Chicken, Cowboy Beans, Coleslaw, scrumptious dessert and of course a beverage included. During your hour visit at Mineral Lake, enjoy the peaceful lake area, walking trail or a game of horseshoes, while listening to live music. Then re-board the train for a leisurely 40-45 minute return trip to Elbe. The total excursion lasts about 2 1/2 hours. Elbe Train Ride

 RAMROD RAMROD, Ride Around Mount Rainier in One Day, is the Pacific Northwest's premiere one-day ultra-marathon cycling event, now in it's 28th year. It combines the incomparable scenery of Mount Rainier National Park with a challenging course featuring 10,000 feet of climbing over 150 miles.
